First Public Ticketed Event Since Shutdown is No April Fools!
Clarksburg, WV – It’s time to get out for some safe, comedic entertainment! The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center and The Vintage Theatre Company, LLC are proud to present April Fools! An Evening of Improv Comedy with the Fearless Fools on Thursday, April 1st at 8:00 pm with doors opening at 7:00 pm. This event is the first public ticketed event for the Robinson Grand since the shutdown in March of 2020.
The Fearless Fools are West Virginia’s premier professional comedy troupe. Specializing in a unique blend of short-form and long-form improv, the Fools frequently fuse their performances with stand-up and original sketch comedy. Vintage Theatre Company, located in Clarksburg, prides itself on its ability to bring the performing arts by West Virginians to West Virginians. As the state’s newest professional, non-union, theatre company, VTC enriches the communities they serve economically, socially, and culturally. Vintage Theatre Company works to be the best of a certain kind and to share that product with the best of the country, West Virginia.
"The Fearless Fools have been desperately trying to make people in West Virginia laugh for eight years," says Jason A. Young, Vintage Theatre Company Founding Producer and Artistic Director. "We are very excited to celebrate our birthday and the first ticketed event of 2021 at the Robinson Grand!"
Patrons can expect an evening of fellowship and laughter in the spacious performance hall with socially-distanced seating and face coverings required. The concession area and bar will be open and available for guests. Parties will be seated in a socially-distanced general seating style with only 40% occupancy to allow for plenty of spacing between parties. This interactive PG-13 rated show is a great date night for couples and friend groups ready to ease back into the realm of live entertainment in a safe environment.
Executive Director, Ryan Tolley states, “We are cautiously optimistic that conditions will continue to improve and restrictions will ease up over time. The Robinson Grand will continue to follow state and local health/safety guidelines in order to keep our team, volunteers, patrons, and community safe and healthy. That is the most important thing. Bringing quality entertainment, arts, and culture to our community has always been our mission and will continue to be as we move forward.”
