The Dennis McClung Blues Band (blues), The Grey Agents (rock), and Whisky River (country) will have a mini battle of the bands here at the Robinson Grand to benefit veterans and specifically the Meuse-Argonne VFW Post 573. The variety of music will provide something for everyone. Come out for a good time, great music, and an important cause!
“We want to support those who have served. This is for our local brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family that have served so they might have a decent facility for their use and support,” states Phil Wyatt, band member of The Grey Agents.
The Meuse-Argonne Post 573 has been a staple in this community since 1920. The VFW’s building was started in 1934 and was fully built in 1955. On November 20, 2019, the Meuse-Argonne VFW Post 573 turned 99 years old and has needed extensive maintenance including a new roof and heating system. In addition to coordinating and sponsoring the annual Veteran’s Day Parade, this post serves as a home-base to so many veterans who need an established community of support upon returning home after their time of service. Take this chance to give back to those who gave their all.
“Benefit events like the VFW’s Battle-of-the-Bands are why we are here,” explains Sales & Marketing Manager, Emily Moore. “We are your community theatre and what better way can we help our community other than this? And I just know the community will rally to support their veterans.”
