Time to Kick it into “The 5th Gear” at the Robinson Grand

Clarksburg, WV – Rock lovers rejoice! The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center will be hosting their second virtual concert during the pandemic as a way to provide the community with some “live” music the best way they can. Join us on the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center Facebook page as “The 5th Gear” performs live from the Robinson Grand stage on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 8:00pm.

The 5th Gear” is a local “classic” rock band out of Clarksburg that formed back in 2013. They’re known for playing the best of 70s, 80s, and modern rock. They have played a variety of venues in Harrison and surrounding counties and have great support from the motorcycle community with a history of helping to fundraise for their special events. Some past events where they’ve been featured are Aidan’s Ride through the Country Side, Ride for Life, and the BMR to name a few. The band has been featured in Cycle Source and Thunder Roads magazines.

“The 5th Gear” has also enjoyed playing at local events in Clarksburg such as the Downtown Trick or Treat, New Year’s Eve Bash, BlackBerry Festival, and small stage of the Italian Heritage Festival. The band members are Emily Estanich (lead vocals), Zack Lawson (lead guitar), and the three brothers of the band—Dylan Satterfield (rhythm/lead guitar), Riki Satterfield (bass guitar), and Franky Satterfield (drums). All four guys of the band are Robert C. Byrd High School graduates and former band/show choir/theatre students. Emily’s influences include Janice Joplin, Joan Jett, and Pat Benatar proving not all rock bands have to be led by male images. The guys are influenced by Metallica, Rush, Kiss, Black Sabbath, and many more.

“I’m glad we’ve got the opportunity to help out our fellow performers and try to make a little money for this wonderful community theatre we have here in Clarksburg and to entertain people while we do it,” remarks band member Franky Satterfield.

The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center remains committed to holding strong during this unprecedented pandemic. Patrons will be able to show support through viewership of the concert and donations will be accepted. All donations will help the Robinson Grand continue to sustain during this difficult time and ensure it remains a vibrant beacon of the arts and in our community for years to come.
